Israel's Police Investigations Department is examining the death of a 36-year-old Nahariya resident after police used a Taser in Haifa. Police said officers tried speaking with the man before using the device to restore order following a disturbance on Hanita Street in Neve Shaanan. Hatzalah responders reported performing CPR with Magen David Adom and transporting him to Rambam Hospital during resuscitation, where his death was later pronounced. The cause of death remains unknown, and no medical determination has established that the Taser caused his collapse. Police said the circumstances were referred to the authorized bodies for examination.
