The Supreme Court unanimously dismissed Daniel Kedar’s appeal against his conviction for murdering real-estate developer Eldad Peri, leaving his life sentence intact. Justice Ofer Grosskopf explained that circumstantial evidence could establish the murder despite the absence of direct eyewitness testimony identifying the shooter. The evidence described included motive, advance surveillance, a rehearsal, vehicle ignition-location records, and correspondence between the fleeing motorcyclist’s clothing, helmet and motorcycle and evidence near Kedar’s home. Peri was murdered on October 15, 2021, in a synagogue parking lot in Rehovot, where Kedar waited for him and fired seven shots.
