Arndt Says Anti-Israel Stance Remains After Mequon Arrest

Matthew Arndt, a Green Party candidate for Wisconsin’s 6th Congressional District, said in a Thursday evening interview that his stance on Israel remained unchanged after his arrest in Mequon. Speaking outside his home, he said he could have chosen better words but declined to explain the driving encounter preceding the recorded confrontation. Police said the incident involved antisemitic statements and arrested him for disorderly conduct with a hate-crime enhancer. The Milwaukee Jewish Federation condemned the behavior directed at a Jewish community member. Formal charges had not been filed, and prosecutors were reviewing the case.
