British Prime Minister Andy Burnham urged Green leader Zack Polanski to reverse the party’s anti-Zionist conference motion, calling support for it “completely wrong” and “terrible judgement.” Speaking to reporters during a visit to Berlin, Burnham said the motion effectively ruled out a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine and should not be supported. The Green Party adopted the policy on October 4 by 1,022 votes to 813, backing a single democratic state throughout historic Palestine. Burnham declined to speculate about a future Labour-Green coalition.
