One Zero to Cut About 25 Jobs in AI-Linked Restructuring

Israeli digital bank One Zero plans to dismiss about 25 of its approximately 350 employees, roughly 7% of its current workforce. It is also cancelling recruitment for about 10 additional positions, leaving staffing about 10% below its previous plan. CEO Eyal Gafni sent employees a letter on Sunday morning, and affected workers received summons. The bank links the restructuring to automation and generative AI efficiencies as it seeks growth without corresponding increases in staffing and expenses. The bank does not describe the planned dismissals as direct replacement of employees by AI.
