Danon Condemns U.N. Resolution Calling for Full Implementation of Durban Declaration

Israel's U.N. ambassador Danny Danon condemned a resolution that he said the United Nations had approved with support from 95 countries, calling for full implementation of the Durban Declaration. In his October 12 statement, he criticized the conference's continuing legacy 25 years after the 2001 gathering. He said Israel would continue fighting antisemitism and hypocrisy in U.N. corridors. The General Assembly president had scheduled consideration of a political declaration on the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action for the October 12 plenary.
