Netanyahu Departs New York for Israel After U.N. Visit, Ahead of Sukkot

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his wife Sara and his entourage took off from the United States early Friday, Israel time, heading back to Israel after a brief New York visit. The trip centered on Netanyahu's address to the U.N. General Assembly, which the Prime Minister's Office scheduled for 21:00 Israel time on Thursday. The office said he would meet the presidents of Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, Panama and Ethiopia, Colombia's vice president, and the prime ministers of Greece, Slovenia and Papua New Guinea. It said many other leaders had asked to meet him, but a tight schedule and the need to return before the onset of Sukkot allowed only some of those meetings.
