Netanyahu Departs for New York to Address U.N. General Assembly

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his entourage took off for New York shortly before 4:40 a.m. Israel time on Thursday, September 24, to address the United Nations General Assembly. Before leaving, he posted a video with the caption "Going to the UN to fight for our truth. Expect surprises." The speech is scheduled for 2 p.m. New York time, 9 p.m. in Israel, and is expected to focus on the threat from Iran. Under the plans, Netanyahu will spend only a few hours in New York and fly back to Israel the same evening without staying overnight.
