Police Disclose Undercover Operation That Led to 28 Drug-Trafficking Arrests

Police disclosed on Wednesday that a ten-month undercover investigation into Jerusalem's drug-supply networks had led to the arrest of 28 suspects. An agent working under police direction bought commercial quantities of cocaine and ecstasy in transactions totaling hundreds of thousands of shekels. Officers raided suspects' homes across several police districts before dawn, seizing drugs, more than NIS 100,000 and 12 vehicles allegedly used in the trade. The Jerusalem District Prosecutor's Office accompanied the evidence-gathering process. The suspects were detained for questioning, and police said the investigation was continuing.
