IDF Says It Destroyed 1.5-Kilometer Tunnel Crossing Gaza’s Yellow Line

The IDF disclosed on October 15 that engineering troops and the Yahalom unit had sealed and destroyed an underground route approximately 1.5 kilometers long that crossed the Yellow Line in southern Gaza. Troops found rooms used by Hamas terrorists inside the route, according to the military. The operation involved Southern Brigade forces working under the engineering command of Gaza Division 143 and Southern Command. The IDF said its forces remain deployed under the ceasefire agreement framework and continue to remove immediate threats in the area.
