Austrian Airlines Flight From Tel Aviv to Vienna Diverts to Sofia After Bomb Threat

An Austrian Airlines flight from Tel Aviv to Vienna was diverted to Sofia, Bulgaria, on Sunday evening after a reported security alert aboard the aircraft. Passengers said they had been informed that an anonymous report claimed there was a bomb on the plane. The flight landed in the Bulgarian capital instead of continuing to its Austrian destination, while the circumstances surrounding the alert remained under examination. The reported threat did not amount to confirmation that an explosive device was aboard.
