Haredi Protesters Block Route 4 Near Yavne Interchange Over Draft Arrests

Haredi protesters blocked Route 4 in both directions near Yavne interchange on Sunday morning, October 18, over arrests linked to military service. The demonstrators were followers of Rabbi Tzvi Friedman within the Jerusalem Faction. The protest followed the arrests of two yeshiva students in Rishon LeZion who received sentences of 20 days in military prison. Heavy traffic congestion was reported around the blockade, and a further protest was expected around midday.
