UAE Calls for Independent Investigation Into Attack on European Diplomats Near Taybeh

The UAE Foreign Ministry on Monday called for an independent, transparent investigation into an attack on European diplomats visiting Taybeh in the West Bank, which it attributed to Israeli settlers. It condemned the incident, urged accountability and said diplomatic missions must be protected under international law. Israeli police said they had arrested 10 suspects over several incidents of weekend violence, including a suspected attack on diplomats in Taybeh and an attack on a foreign journalist. Commissioner Danny Levy said enforcement applies to everyone and rests on evidence and the law.
