Israel Sanctions Coral Oil Over Fuel Transfers to Hezbollah-Owned Company

Israel’s Defense Ministry announced a sanction signed by Defense Minister Israel Katz against Coral Oil after its counterterror-financing bureau said the company supplied about 130,000 liters of diesel and gasoline to Al-Amana. The ministry identified Al-Amana as a Hezbollah-owned fuel company designated a terrorist organization by Israel in 2020. It said Coral Oil is registered in the United Kingdom, belongs to Lebanon’s A. Yamin Group S.A.L. (Holding), and operates through its Lebanese branch, based in Beirut. The ministry said such fuel supplies support Hezbollah’s weapons transport, generators and infrastructure, including its underground network.
