JCPA Challenges House Report on Antisemitism in Schools and Teachers' Union

The Jewish Council for Public Affairs disputed a U.S. House committee majority report on October 21 concerning antisemitism in schools and the National Education Association. CEO Amy Spitalnick said the report misrepresented the council's work with the union while acknowledging persistent problems with antisemitism and Jewish inclusion. The House Education and Workforce Committee alleged that teaching materials included maps omitting Israel and descriptions of Israel and the United States as terrorists. JCPA said its partnership addresses antisemitism, including forms connected to Israel, through workshops at the union's 2025 and 2026 assemblies, a Holocaust remembrance webinar and educational resources.
