Eisenkot Pledges to Fulfill Israel’s U.S. Commitments on Gaza

Gadi Eisenkot, the Yashar leader and former IDF chief, said a government he leads would fulfill Israel’s commitments to the United States concerning Gaza. He described those commitments as training Gazans in Egypt for a returning police force, enabling a technocratic administration to begin phased reconstruction, and withdrawal in exchange for Hamas’s disarmament. Eisenkot accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of delaying U.S.-backed Gaza frameworks for political reasons. He also praised President Donald Trump’s regional role and endorsed his approach of pursuing peace through strength.
