National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir called for Israel to carry out 30 to 40 targeted killings in Gaza each night during a podcast appearance with former hostage Rom Braslavski. Ben Gvir said the targets should extend beyond people posing an immediate threat and acknowledged that he disagrees with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He also advocated Israeli settlement throughout Gaza and encouraging Palestinian emigration. Ben Gvir oversees the police and prison systems but has no authority to order Israel Defense Forces strikes. The taped remarks surfaced Sunday.
