IDF Says Gaza Strike Hit Nukhba Commanders' Meeting, One an Oct. 7 Infiltrator

The IDF Spokesperson said Tuesday evening that an earlier airstrike in the Gaza Strip hit Hamas Nukhba force commanders while they were meeting, among them a company commander, three platoon commanders, and several additional operatives. The military said the operatives were advancing terror plots against Israeli forces operating in the Strip, and that one of them infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre. Steps were taken before the strike to reduce harm to uninvolved persons, it said. An earlier announcement placed the strike in the Shati area of northern Gaza, where Southern Command troops are deployed in accordance with the agreement. The IDF said it would report results later.
