NILI Officers Detail the Hunt for Thousands of October 7 Attackers

Officers in the joint IDF-Shin Bet NILI unit described how they compile and work through a spreadsheet of thousands of terrorists and other participants tied to the October 7 massacre and the captivity of hostages. The unit uses terrorist-shot camera footage, facial recognition, artificial intelligence, field agents, and intelligence from returned hostages and detainees to identify targets. Channel 12 reported that 2,800 people on NILI's lists have been killed. Officers said every target must meet legal and operational requirements, and that the work can take months or longer.
