Feiglin Says Zehut’s First Practical Bill Would Let Voters Elect Judges

Moshe Feiglin said Zehut’s first practical legislative proposal would allow the public to elect judges directly. He set out the pledge in a Hebrew post on Sunday, presenting direct judicial elections as a priority for the party’s legislative agenda. Feiglin had already advocated direct public election of Supreme Court judges in a statement published in August. His Sunday post referred to judges without specifying a court or term length, while the earlier statement specifically addressed the Supreme Court.
