Netanyahu Reportedly Delays Gaza Police Training; PMO Denies Election Link

Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly postponed the departure of thousands of Palestinians for police training in Egypt, intended for a future Gaza policing force. The October 25 disclosure says Shin Bet had approved 5,000–7,000 candidates before the political leadership halted the process in recent days. An unnamed source alleged that the delay would last until after the election. The Prime Minister’s Office denied an election connection, saying neither Gaza reconstruction nor a policing force would proceed before Hamas was fully disarmed and the Strip demilitarized. Shin Bet declined to comment.
