Eisenkot Says Trump Would Work With Any Leader Israelis Elect

Gadi Eisenkot said on Monday morning that he expected U.S. President Donald Trump to cooperate fully with whichever leader Israelis elect. Writing a day before the election, he described Trump as a true friend of Israel and praised his commitment to its security. Eisenkot accused Benjamin Netanyahu of using intimidation, falsehoods and threats in the campaign. He urged Israelis to vote according to their conscience and the country's future. He also argued that a Yashar result substantially stronger than Likud's would deliver the political change he was seeking.
