Israeli troops brought down a large drone near Nahal Oz in a suspected attempt to carry goods from Israel into the Gaza Strip. The initial report placed the interception overnight and said a large sack was attached to the aircraft. Its contents had not been established, and a bomb-disposal specialist was awaited to examine the load. Bomb-disposal personnel and Southern Command engineering teams were called to the area, while the identity of the operator and the purpose of the cargo remained unconfirmed.

Difference in reporting

Almog Boker places the interception overnight near Nahal Oz; Walla describes it as occurring this morning. Walla’s headline says the drone was flying from Gaza into Israel, while its body and Boker describe an attempted flight from Israel into Gaza. Both report that the cargo was undetermined.
