Trump Denies Netanyahu Asked Him for Another Election Endorsement

U.S. President Donald Trump denied on Monday evening, October 26, that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had asked him to issue another public endorsement ahead of Israel’s election. Answering reporters, Trump said he had not discussed such a request with Netanyahu and had made his endorsements on his own initiative. He said he had issued two endorsements and praised Netanyahu’s performance as prime minister under difficult conditions. Trump also described the two leaders as working well together, speaking on the eve of Israel’s October 27 election.
