Sara Netanyahu Reportedly Confronted Acting PMO Staff Chief on Election Day

Sara Netanyahu reportedly confronted acting Prime Minister’s Office staff chief Ido Norden on election day, October 27, and told him not to return to the office. The account was disclosed on Thursday evening, October 29. The Prime Minister’s Office denied the details of the report. According to office sources cited in the account, the prime minister’s wife became angry about Norden’s conduct during election day. Sara Netanyahu reportedly told him: “You have no reason to return to the office; we are losing because of you.” The remark was attributed to her by sources, rather than issued as a public statement. The same sources described Norden as having been pushed out of the prime minister’s close circle. They said he was no longer joining Netanyahu’s car journeys or attending meetings with a restricted group of participants. The report followed an account the previous evening that the office was looking for someone to replace Norden. The office’s denial accompanied the newly disclosed allegations. Norden’s move into the office had been announced months earlier. On April 5, Benjamin Netanyahu said Ziv Agmon would finish his role in the coming days when Norden entered as his replacement. Netanyahu’s announcement said Norden was already undergoing onboarding in the Prime Minister’s Office.
