Cyera Reportedly Discusses $20 Billion Valuation

Cyera has reportedly discussed new investment at a possible valuation of $20 billion. The Israeli cybersecurity company's financing discussions were first disclosed on October 30 in an account attributed to people familiar with the matter. The report describes discussions, rather than a completed financing round. The discussions follow a September 22 announcement of a $400 million Series G extension from Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives. That announcement valued Cyera at more than $12 billion and identified Evolution Equity as the Series G's lead investor. The earlier investment and the newly reported talks are separate developments. Cyera cofounder and chief executive Yotam Segev said in the September announcement: “AI infrastructure is moving faster than the security architecture around it.” The company's platform links sensitive data with the identities and software agents that can access it. Its Agent Guardian and Cyera Endpoint products monitor agents' tool calls, database queries and actions, extending visibility from cloud systems to endpoint devices. The September investment was intended to support AI security products, expansion in the federal market and growth across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific. The announcement named Paramount, Chipotle and Valvoline among Cyera's enterprise customers. Those stated uses concerned the September financing, rather than terms for the newly reported discussions.
