Lazimi Says Or Schneiberg Is No Longer Her Spokesperson

Naama Lazimi said on Saturday, October 31, that Or Schneiberg no longer works as her spokesperson, rejecting a social-media claim that a televised appearance concealed a current employment relationship. She put the time since he held the role at approximately a year and a half to two years. Lazimi was responding to a post by Liran Baruch, who alleged that Schneiberg had appeared on television as a concerned citizen and wounded soldier without viewers being told he was her spokesman. Baruch also attributed to Schneiberg support for bringing in the Joint List and a claim that other combat soldiers shared that position. Those were Baruch's descriptions of the appearance. In her reply, Lazimi praised Schneiberg's intelligence, kindness and courage. She said they had become better acquainted when she visited him after he was wounded in Gaza, and that continuing contact subsequently led to his working with her. She also said he had declined a hospital visit from Benjamin Netanyahu, which she characterized as a photo opportunity. Her clarification disputed the assertion of current employment while acknowledging their earlier working relationship. Lazimi gave an approximate interval rather than a specific departure date.
