Israel Forecast Calls for Monday Heat Before Temperatures Fall Tuesday
Published
Israel’s forecast for Sunday, November 1, calls for high cloud and temperatures mostly close to the seasonal average, ahead of a substantial rise on Monday. The most pronounced warming is expected along the coastal plain, in the Shfela and in the northwestern Negev, before temperatures fall again on Tuesday. No significant heat stress is forecast for Sunday. The Mediterranean Sea is expected to be calm to slightly choppy, with waves of 30–50 centimetres. Daytime highs are forecast to reach 22°C in Jerusalem and Safed, 24°C in Haifa, 26°C in Tel Aviv and Beersheba, and 29°C in Eilat and Beit Shean. Overnight lows are forecast at 13°C in Jerusalem, 17°C in Tel Aviv, 19°C in Haifa and 20°C in Eilat. Monday’s warming is expected to bring temperatures above the seasonal norm across most regions, with dry to sharav conditions. The coastal plain, Shfela and northwestern Negev are also expected to see the clearest reversal on Tuesday, when temperatures fall substantially and humidity increases. Most regions are forecast to return to seasonal temperatures under partly cloudy to clear skies. Wednesday is forecast to be partly cloudy to cloudy, with medium and high cloud. No substantial change in temperatures is expected that day.
