The Israel Defense Forces disclosed on Monday that it had killed two Hamas Nukhba terrorists in separate aerial strikes in Gaza on Saturday, October 31. One of the men, Muhammad Kamel Masleh Qadih, infiltrated Kibbutz Nir Oz during the October 7 massacre, according to the military. Qadih was killed in the Khan Yunis area. The IDF said his responsibilities included maintaining the operational readiness of Nukhba terrorists. In a separate strike in the Nuseirat area, the military killed Diaa Abd al-Mohsen Muhammad Abu al-Rous, whom it identified as a Nukhba terrorist in Hamas's military wing. The military said both men had worked throughout the war, particularly recently, to advance terrorist attacks against Israeli troops and civilians. It also accused them of working to restore Hamas's capabilities in systematic violation of the ceasefire. The IDF said the strikes were carried out "to remove the threat they posed." According to the IDF, precautions taken before the strikes included the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance to reduce the risk of harm to civilians. The announcement did not provide an assessment of civilian casualties. The military said Southern Command troops remained deployed in the area under the agreement and would continue acting to remove threats.
