XTEND Reportedly Cuts About 10% of Its Workforce

Israeli robotics company XTEND is cutting approximately 10% of its workforce, according to reporting published on November 2. The newly reported scale of the reductions follows a restructuring the company had already described to investors on October 26. In its response to the report, XTEND said, “The company has begun adjusting its operational structure.” It said the changes are intended to streamline costs and concentrate resources on robotics, its XOS software platform, systems using that platform, manufacturing and deliveries. Those earlier company statements did not specify the percentage of workforce reductions. In his October 26 shareholder letter, cofounder and chief executive Aviv Shapira described a leaner organization and a move away from custom projects toward the company's core products. The letter also described targeted hiring in the United States and advanced autonomy, alongside the broader restructuring. The company's preliminary, unaudited figures put total revenue for the first nine months of 2026 at $24.5 million to $26.5 million, including $23 million to $24 million from its AI robotics segment. It reported a robotics backlog of approximately $84 million as of September 30. XTEND expects to release its full third-quarter results on November 16; the preliminary figures remain subject to closing procedures and may change.
