Ministry Approves Daycare Buildings for Ganim and Kadim

The Ministry for the Development of the Negev, Galilee and National Resilience has approved funding for daycare buildings in Ganim and Kadim in northern Samaria, according to council statements reported on November 5. The Shomron Regional Council secured authorization for large, upgraded prefabricated buildings intended to serve the communities’ young families. The approval follows several months of work by the council’s engineering, education and security departments alongside the community committees. The reports describe it as the first government funding for daycare buildings in the two reestablished communities. Neither a funding amount nor a construction or opening timetable was specified. Minister Yitzhak Wasserlauf said: “Our mission does not end with returning to the land.” He described early-childhood services as part of supporting families’ daily lives. Council head Yossi Dagan thanked the ministry’s professional staff and the local committees, presenting the planned facilities as a way to meet residents’ needs and support further community growth. Thirty families have moved into Ganim and thirty into Kadim, and a higher yeshiva has opened in Ganim. Kindergartens began operating with the school year; the newly approved daycare buildings would add provision for younger children. The announcement concerns funding and authorization for facilities to be established, rather than daycare centers already completed or opened.
