Weizmann House Offers New Family Puzzle Game in Rehovot

Weizmann House in Rehovot is offering a new family puzzle game, “The First President’s Code,” that takes participants through the estate of Dr. Chaim Weizmann, Israel’s first president. The activity connects an exploration of the grounds with episodes from Weizmann’s life, using the historic site itself as the setting for families to work through the challenge together. The game combines riddles, clues and tasks along the estate’s paths. Participants follow those challenges to uncover the story of the place and decipher the code. It is available for purchase at Weizmann House and at Café Vera in the historic gate building. The offering was newly reported on November 6; the report does not establish its original launch date. The house provides the historical background for the activity. Built in 1936 for Chaim and Vera Weizmann, it was designed by architect Erich Mendelsohn and became the president’s official residence following Weizmann’s election. It opened to the public as a museum after renovation was completed in 1978. The institute says further work on the house, its contents and grounds in 1999 sought “to restore them to their original condition.” Guided campus tours include Weizmann House.
