The only thing that made Soruju or Deek Israeli citizens while Christians like myself are stateless Palestinians is mere chance. It is by mere chance that Deek's family was not ethnically cleansed in 1948, as was the case for some of my relatives who became Arab citizens of Israel. However, Deek is so grateful his family wasn't kicked out that he does not care about countless Christians, including other Deek family members, who were kicked out of Jaffa and other towns.

"Voluntary immigration" for Palestinians isn't a new concept. It's simply coded language for the same ethnic cleansing enforced in 1948. Denying the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people makes you the equivalent of a flat-earther on this issue.

I am not part of this debate or any personal conflict. However, Mehdi did offer me the chance to debate Ahmed’s ideas, which I accepted, and I remain open to debating Ahmed anytime. That said, I have no interest in personal insults or conflicts with Ahmed or anyone else. I am always ready to debate ideas anytime and anywhere. For the record, I do not consider myself an "activist", I am not even sure what that word means anymore. However, my background speaks for itself: I lived in Palestine until 2021, including time in Gaza where I was arrested by Hamas multiple times. Rather than allowing my personal story to dictate all my views, I chose to use my experiences to inform my academic work. I hold an MA in Comparative Politics from American University, with a focus on Islamist movements in the region. As for my view on Hamas, I always describe it as follows: "Hamas is the worst thing to ever happen to the Palestinians after the occupation." My criticism of Hamas has nothing to do with their Islamism, although I am critical of that, but rather with their authoritarianism, war crimes, and complete failure on the Palestinian national level. That being said, if Hamas disappears tomorrow, Israel will not change, nor will the occupation end. This is not just a prediction; Israeli leaders themselves say it out in the open.
Had my second TV debate this week on settler terrorism with an Israeli legal scholar, who argued that settlers' attacks are merely minor crimes like property damage rather than terrorism. I asked him if "property damage" includes burning a house with its residents inside. I truly don't know where they find these people. People who would defend the indefensible!
This has always been their plan and the PA knows this and would never allow itself to be as foolish as Hamas, which would lead to full ethnic cleansing in the West Bank. The PA has so much problems but understanding Israel and it's brutality isn't one of them
This is complete nonsense. A) This is West Gaza, an expensive area affordable only to the upper and upper-middle class. I know because I lived there. B) Even residents of that area still suffered from the Israeli siege and a lack of freedom.

Israel is a criminal state
One of the prominent characteristics of Islamists, across their various strands and orientations, is the constant sense of victimhood and the belief that the “Islamic religion” is under continuous attack. It does not matter whether the system of government has become Islamist or they themselves have come to power; Islamists continue to see the mere existence of religious minorities and secularists as persecution of the religion. This scene applies to what is happening in Syria today, what happened in Gaza during Hamas’s rule, and in Egypt during the period of the Muslim Brotherhood’s rule. The Islamist sees himself as an eternal victim and is not convinced otherwise unless everyone different from him is deprived of his freedom; otherwise, their existence is considered an “attack on the religion.”

The majority of Palestinians who oppose Hamas, both in Gaza and abroad have their priorities right: 1) they oppose the occupation and the genocide, and 2) they acknowledge that Hamas has been destructive. Any opinion that does not put those points in order is neither empirical nor representative of Palestinians, including those who despise Hamas.
This is a myth. No black neighborhoods in Gaza and Afro-Palestinians are well assimilated within Gaza. Yes unfortunately there is anti-blackness and racism like the rest of the region but it is far from being systematic on any level

Dear Ambassador Huckabee, Thank you for demonstrating concern for the American citizens impacted by settler terrorism. However, this issue extends far beyond a "few bad apples." Settler terrorism is central to the settlement project itself, one driven by an ideology of total domination and the denial of the Palestinian people's basic rights.

All he is saying is that he is a Jew, and therefore, he should take your property and kick you out of the country for being non-Jewish. Wow, 44% of Palestinians are "Zionists", something needs to be done about this. I personally recommend that @intifada and their likes in the diaspora go build a podium in Jenin and Gaza City to preach to the public about how they are all Zionists.
In the West Bank, the occupation has turned the Palestinian cities into "Bantustans" (Bantustans), exactly as was the case in South Africa, whereas in Gaza it has turned it into an extermination camp (Concentration camp), which is many times worse than what is happening in the West Bank.
