File under: Iran is winning! 300 dollars are equivalent to 669 million rials. You need a cart full of cash to buy groceries. https://t.co/ndBmmWI8B4
President Erdogan on Syria: We are the ones who want Syria to remain united and whole. The dissolution of the SDF will open the door to a new era for the entire region. The chapter of terrorism must be closed, and the era of weapons and violence must come to an end. https://t.co/ccQmXErHaO
Iran’s rial hit another record low on Saturday, trading at 2.06 million rials per US dollar on the open market. https://t.co/buDrMsVPZX
Iranian terror operatives on American soil. Citing a US law enforcement source, Newsmax reports that Israeli intelligence learned late last year that Iranian operatives were monitoring Netanyahu’s son Yair at his Miami residence, prompting him to leave "hurriedly.” The report follows Netanyahu’s Monday claim that Iran "tried to murder" one of his sons.
“No, Turkey is not Iran. It is a member of NATO; Erdoğan has a close relationship with US President Donald Trump, and Turkey has diplomatic relations with Israel. Despite the deep crisis, the [formal] ties have not been severed. Precisely to prevent this rivalry from turning into a military conflict, it was a correct decision to clarify the red lines. That is exactly what Israel did by attacking the airbase in northern Syria.” -- Former Israeli National Security Adviser Meir Ben-Shabbat
Iran is the dominant power in the Middle East? What an unhinged analysis! Today the Iranian currency, the rial, set a new record. One dollar is now, for the first time, worth two million rial. On the day Trump was elected to his second term, the rial was a little over 700,000. Trump has sent it into a free fall. It's lost about sixty-five percent of its value. A little history. In 1978, the rial was a little over 70 rials to the dollar, meaning that over the years it has lost 99.996% of its value.
This report comes from Al-Mayadeen, which means it is Iranian propaganda. I don’t understand why an Israeli newspaper is helping to spread Iranian disinformation. https://t.co/qIRqdKplYh
Israeli-Turkish tensions are rising. President Trump has his work cut out for him. The job of the US is to organize its allies so as to weaken its enemies but also to manage it allies, who don't get along. Israel is the little brother of the US and Turkey is its friend. You want your brother and your friend to get along. But if they can't, then it's your job to keep them apart.

He may well be sincere. He may truly believe that Iran won. It is important to be aware of this viewpoint even as we reject the assessment.
