Election Panel Orders Netanyahu Hostage Video Removed

Central Elections Committee chair Justice Noam Sohlberg issued an interim order requiring the removal of a video Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted about hostage-release pressure. A petition by Bochrim B'Yisrael argued the clip used public assets because it appeared on official Prime Minister's Office accounts and Netanyahu's personal-political channels. The video included remarks from a multi-front security assessment with senior IDF commanders. Sohlberg said the double posting creates a legal difficulty, and the respondents must answer before the petition is heard. Election season needs clean boundaries between state messaging, campaign speech and sacred hostage issues.
