Election Panel Orders Netanyahu Hostage Video Removed
Central Elections Committee chair Justice Noam Sohlberg issued an interim order requiring the removal of a video Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted about hostage-release pressure. Ynet, Israel Hayom, Kikar and Emess report the petition by Bochrim B'Yisrael argued the clip used public assets because it appeared on official Prime Minister's Office accounts and Netanyahu's personal-political channels. The video included remarks from a multi-front security assessment with senior IDF commanders. Sohlberg said the double posting creates a legal difficulty, and the respondents must answer before the petition is heard. Election season needs clean boundaries between state messaging, campaign speech and sacred hostage issues.
