Qatar Says No Direct US-Iran Meeting as Tehran Presses Demands

Qatar and Iran said no direct or high-level U.S.-Iran meeting is scheduled in Doha, even as Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met Qatari mediators and technical talks continue through Qatar and Pakistan. Iran's Foreign Ministry said its delegation is pressing implementation of the wartime memorandum, including unrestricted access to frozen assets, while Ynet reports Tehran is also tying progress to Lebanon and Hormuz demands. AP, Times of Israel, CBS and Iran International report Qatar's line that no funds have yet moved and any release depends on negotiations. Israel should read the track soberly: diplomacy is useful only if it restrains Iran's nuclear, missile and proxy systems rather than funding the regime or pressuring Israel to reward Hezbollah.
