Police HR Chief Shushan Takes Leave During Probe

At 18:03 IDT, Police Commissioner Danny Levy met Maj. Gen. Alona Shushan, Israel Police's human-resources chief, and agreed she would take leave until the investigation tied to her sexual-harassment complaint against police spokesman Brig. Gen. Lior Abudraham is completed. Earlier reporting at 17:31 said the leave would last several weeks and that Abudraham also announced leave until the probe ends; Shushan's lawyers rejected the forced label and framed it as her decision for institutional integrity. The affair sits inside the Ben Gvir associates and Prisons Commissioner Kobi Yaakobi file, where Abudraham is a central witness. Israel needs a clean, fair inquiry that protects complainants, witnesses and public trust in police command.
