Silwan Lynching Leaves Jewish Man Seriously Hurt

JDN reported at 22:09 IDT that three Jewish civilians trying to park in Silwan, in eastern Jerusalem, were ambushed Thursday afternoon by dozens of Arab rioters. The attackers threw stones and blocks from rooftops, then some came down with clubs and boards, leaving one Jewish man with a serious head injury and sending him to Shaare Zedek. 0404 reported the same core facts and said police arrived after the attackers fled, a formal complaint was filed and an investigation opened. Israel's capital must remain safe for Jews, Arabs and visitors, and organized Arab mob violence must be treated as terror, not neighborhood friction.
