IMS Upgrades Mediterranean Swim Warning to Orange

The Israel Meteorological Service upgraded its Mediterranean swimming warning from yellow to orange, meaning waves could reach 1.5 meters. Earlier in the morning the IMS had issued a yellow warning, and director Amir Givati said dangerous conditions would continue Sunday; live beach data showed Mediterranean sectors already running about 100-140 centimeters. This is a low-importance but immediate public-safety update after Friday's fatal Rishon LeZion drowning. Israeli families should use lifeguarded declared beaches only and respect municipal closures, because Shabbat recreation must never outrun pikuach nefesh.
