Golan Says Court Defiance Rehearses Ignoring Voters

Democrats chairman Yair Golan used a same-hour faction statement to cast the government's refusal to recognize the High Court's Second Authority ruling as a rehearsal for ignoring voters, not only a fight over media regulation. He said a future replacement government cannot be built merely on anti-Netanyahu arithmetic, because ministers and lawmakers who normalize defying court orders should not be partners in a government of repair. The warning keeps election integrity at the center of the constitutional fight. Israel's campaign needs a clear rule: fierce arguments are legitimate, but election results, court orders and state institutions must remain binding.
