Zohar Says Netanyahu Will Obey High Court in Regulator Fight

Netanyahu High Court Compliance: Zohar Predicts Reversal | JFeed

Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will comply with the High Court decision in the Second Authority dispute and that Israel will not enter a constitutional crisis over the media regulator. Zohar argued the government's resolution was meant to prevent such a crisis while protesting what it sees as a ruling that contradicts the law, not to ignore the court outright. Former Supreme Court justice Hanan Melcer warned the cabinet position crossed a red line and could normalize noncompliance before elections. Israel needs stable media oversight, elected-government accountability and respect for binding court orders, so this fight must stay inside lawful channels.
