Ein Vered Plane Crash Injures Two Near Sharon Airfield

A light aircraft crashed Friday evening at the Ein Vered airfield in the Sharon region, igniting a fire at the scene. Magen David Adom and fire-rescue teams said two occupants were rescued or got out conscious and were treated by emergency crews. A man in his 50s was evacuated to Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba in moderate condition with head and limb injuries, and a second person was evacuated in light condition. Firefighters worked at the crash scene while the circumstances remained under review, another reminder of the routine rescue readiness Israelis rely on outside the war headlines.
