IDF Sets Early-Morning Kiryat Shmona Drill With Simulated Enemy

The IDF will hold a planned exercise in Kiryat Shmona and nearby Galilee communities Monday from 5:30 to 7:30 a.m., the municipality said Sunday night. Residents should expect increased movement by military and security forces, and troops will practice responding to a simulated enemy presence. The drill was coordinated in advance, will not use pyrotechnics and is part of the IDF's regular training program. Municipal officials said a separate notice would be issued if a real security incident occurs, distinguishing the exercise from an operational alert.
