Keren Hayesod Executive Board Backs Eli Vered Hazan as Next World Chair

Keren Hayesod’s executive board unanimously approved Israel’s ambassador to Singapore, Eli Vered Hazan, as the organization’s next world chairman Monday, subject to formal approvals by Keren Hayesod and the World Zionist Organization. Hazan’s career has included senior advisory work for Israeli governments and service as vice president for public diplomacy at the Jerusalem Institute of Justice. He is set to succeed Sam Grundwerg, who is completing eight years as world chairman. The organization said a structured professional handover will preserve continuity in its work linking Jewish communities worldwide with Israel and strengthening Israeli society through philanthropy and partnership.
