U.S. Begins Third Consecutive Night of Strikes on Iran

U.S. Central Command said American forces began a third consecutive night of strikes against Iran at 4:45 p.m. Eastern time Monday, 23:45 in Israel, acting at President Donald Trump's direction. The command said the attacks would continue imposing a heavy cost on Iranian forces and degrade their ability to threaten civilians and commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The announcement came shortly after Trump said the United States would hit Iran very hard Monday night and again Tuesday. He also identified the deeply buried Pickaxe Mountain site near Natanz as a possible target, but CENTCOM did not name the sites struck in the new wave.
