IRGC Threatens to Keep Hormuz Closed Until U.S. Actions End

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps threatened Wednesday to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed until what it called U.S. “evil actions” end. The Guards said not a single drop of oil or gas would leave the region while American operations continued, declaring that energy exports would be “for everyone or for no one.” The statement followed Washington's renewed blockade of Iranian ports and another U.S. strike wave against military targets near Hormuz and Iran's coast. Tehran has repeatedly attacked commercial shipping near the strait, and the United States says the blockade responds to those attacks.
