U.S. Redirects Two Vessels in First 17 Hours of Renewed Iran Blockade

U.S. Central Command said American forces redirected two commercial vessels that tried to run the renewed blockade of Iranian ports during its first 17 hours. The command announced the enforcement result at 4:20 p.m. Israel time Wednesday and said U.S. forces remained vigilant and prepared to ensure full compliance. The blockade had resumed at 11 p.m. Israel time Tuesday after Tehran renewed attacks on commercial shipping near the Strait of Hormuz. Iran's Revolutionary Guards have threatened to halt regional energy exports while U.S. operations continue.
