Four Highway 6 Rioters Get Five Years for Nationalist Attacks

The Beersheba District Court sentenced four men to five years in prison each for nationalist violence during Operation Guardian of the Walls in May 2021. The defendants admitted blocking Highway 6 near Lakiya with burning tires and throwing stones at vehicles they identified as carrying Jews. One woman's car was later burned, a Thai national mistaken for a Jew was assaulted, and another driver was injured. Judge Alon Gabizon also imposed suspended terms, NIS 10,000 fines and NIS 7,000 compensation payments on each defendant.
