ICC Employee Publicly Details Alleged Misconduct by Karim Khan

An International Criminal Court employee identified only as Sarah publicly described for the first time allegations that chief prosecutor Karim Khan subjected her to escalating non-consensual sexual conduct over a year after she became his assistant in February 2023. She said the power disparity and fear of losing her job and Dutch work visa left her unable to refuse. Khan, who pursued arrest warrants against Israeli leaders, denies every allegation, and his counsel said the full evidentiary record presents a different picture. The ICC's 125 member states are expected to decide on July 24 whether to uphold his suspension and impose disciplinary action.
