British Panel Extends ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan's Suspension

Britain's Bar Standards Board said an interim panel extended ICC chief prosecutor Karim Khan's suspension from legal practice after a July 10 hearing. Barrister Leo Davidson represented the regulator in obtaining the July 13 order, which keeps Khan suspended until disciplinary charges are dropped or finally resolved. Khan faces sexual-misconduct allegations involving a female aide and has denied wrongdoing. The ICC's 125-member Assembly of States Parties is due to vote July 24 on whether to remove him from office; Khan had sought arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant.
